Welcome to the Meadowcroft Pottery Website
Sadly, Chris passed away in August of last year
Meadowcroft
Pottery is located in the village of Askett, Near Princes Risborough
in Buckinghamshire.
Chris Bull was
the potter working there, and she produced many types of work, including
stoneware, raku and earthenware for garden, domestic, commemorative
and decorative use.
Although she didn't have a showroom at the pottery, a range of her work wass usually on show in the Stable Bar of the Three Crowns pub in Askett. (An occasionally still is !)
Please feel
free to browse the site, reading about Chris and her background,
and to look at examples of her work.
Her clients included our local Chiltern Brewery, for whom she supplied their mugs and jugs, and the Science Museum who commissioned her to make this giant teapot for science demonstrations to children.
She also completed a commission for The Narrative, who specified and sourced fixtures and fittings for the Perkin Reveller restaurant near Tower Bridge.
Chris originally supplied 100 beer jugs and 200 beakers. These images show the first batch ready for packing, jugs installed at the restaurant and a view of the restaurant from Tower Bridge............. A number of their customers have requested personalised replicas as mementos of their vist to the restaurant.
Meadowcroft Pottery can also offer a pottery equipment repair and maintenance service, including kilns, wheels etc.
